Shish Kabob!

So we have a blizzard warning over Maine... AGAIN. It was so warm this week too...

Anyways, I didn't come on here to write about snow... I came on to tell people about this awesome and simple recipe for chicken!

Admittedly, it's just a copycat recipe of something my grandmother used to make. Not nearly as good, but still delicious! All you need is:

Chicken Breast
Mayonnaise
Italian Dressing
Tupperware
Skewers (optional)

Cut the chicken into little cube-like shapes. Coat with mayo and dressing (seriously, don't hesitate to put the entire bottle in!) Cover, and place in fridge for 24 hours.
Now, the chicken in the picture above was baked in the oven for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Though it is good this way, I highly recommend skewering and cooking them on a grill with veggies if you have access.

There is seriously so much flavor in this, and it makes your house smell really good too! :P

I just want to be a rockstar...

Have you ever had a song that just makes you smile listening to it?

This week I bought A Great Big World's debut EP. To think that I had never heard of them before I heard the cover of "This is the New Year" done by Glee. (the shame...) These guys, Ian and Chad, are awesome! Their lyrics make you feel happy and hopeful, not to mention the fact that I am completely in love with the piano in the background! *_* (an instrument I've always wanted to learn...)

This song in particular has me smiling and singing along:

Blau

Kobanwa!

So, I am constantly on the lookout for new music to listen to. Lately, I've been really into Eir Aoi's new album "Blau". Though a lot of these songs have already been heard, it's nice to have them compiled together in one album. This album is the first of hers to be released in the U.S. Imagine my shock and happiness when I saw it on itunes! Anime fans may recognize songs such as "Innocence" and "Memoria" from recent anime, "Sword Art Online" and "Fate/Zero." (Which are excellent series, if I may add ^_^) The tracks on this album are bursting with energy! Eir Aoi is able to hit high notes beautifully. My favorite tracks are "Avalon Blue" and "Lament," but all fourteen are amazing.

 1. Overture  2. Aurora  3. Innocence  4. Satellite  5. Senkou Zenya  6. High and High
7. Avalon Blue  8. Frozen Eyez  9. Yumeno Owari  10. Lament  11. Faceless
12. Reunion  13. Sora Wo Aruku  14. Memoria

Free Bird

Free Bird

I am completely head over heels for these boots by Steve Madden! This outfit I composed to go with them is light, free, and airy. Perfect for a lovely spring day.

Where to even start...

My name is Ari. At least, that's what most people call me. I am a 21 year old college student living in a small town, in a small apartment, with three other roommates. Pretty average, right?
To be honest, I'm feeling a bit like a copycat at the moment. About three other people I know have started blogs as of recent. So, why did I start one? I've never had any interest in keeping a journal or documenting my experiences and interests in any way. Why now? Truth be told, this blog was born out of one thing:
Boredom.
I have been extraordinarily bored lately and, trust me, I do not like being without something to do. Thus, a good friend suggested starting this. The idea interested me more than I would have thought. Challenging myself to write more often could be a good thing, I thought. Something to keep me entertained and on my toes.
So what will I be writing about? A little bit of everything, I suppose. I have many interests including fashion, music, anime, books, art, theatre and more. Some days you may see my artwork for sale on Etsy, while on others you may see reviews or cute clothing suggestions.

Well, I guess that's all there is for now. Wish me luck!
